Welcome to the Costa del Golf
There are upwards of 60 Golf courses along the Costa del Sol, which has led to some calling it the “Costa del Golf”. If it is golf that has brought you to this part of Spain , then you will not be disappointed. Within Alhaurin itself, you will find“Alhaurin Golf” and “Lauro Golf”.
In addition to these courses, the internationally renowned Mijas Golf is just a 20-minute drive away.
Alhaurin Golf
5857 metres, 18 hole, Par 72
One of the most ambitious and popular courses in the region and designed by the legendary Seve Ballesteros, Alhaurin Golf is set in some of the most spectacular scenery anywhere on the coast. The course itself is a real challenge both to golfing skillsand fitness levels. A golf buggy is highly recommended. The course can be reached in just 30 minutes from Malaga airport. There is also a 9 hole course and an 18 hole Junior course (that can only be played if accompanied by a junior).
Lauro Golf
6085 metres, 18 holes, Par 72
Lauro Golf is located about 4kms from Alhaurin town centre on the road towards Malaga. It is bordered by the Forest of the Sierra de Mijas and the fairways are interlaced with olive trees (and many lakes – make sure you play straight!) that all add to the tranquil feeling of playing a round or two here.
Although situated 1000 feet above sea level, Lauro has been designed as a relatively flat “parkland” style course.
